Estimated Timeline

5 x 7 = 1--2 months

8 x 10 = 2--3 months

11 x 14 = 3--4 months

16 x 20 = 4--5 months

Estimate & Research

You approved the estimate. I am studying the reference photos provided to understand which colors and techniques I will use. This process takes 1--2 days.

Materials Ordered

I order materials based on the colors I will be using for the particular drawing. There are three different types of colored pencils I work with, and depending on the size and colors, different papers as well. Due to COVID there are cases where supplies may be backordered up to two months. I will contact you if this affects your drawing.

Sketching

Your drawing has begun! I am sketching the drawing onto the paper. This can be a lengthy process due to complexity and size. It may take up to 2 weeks.

Colored Pencil

The drawing is now sketched onto the paper. I am working with colored pencils. My drawings average seven to eight layers of pencil, allowing me to get just the right color and texture. Depending on the size and complexity of the drawing, this process can take several months. I spend 20 to 30 hours drawing every week. Your drawing means a lot to me. Your drawing becomes personal to me. I do not rush the process and thank you for your patience.

Final Touches/Photography

The drawing is almost complete as I check final touches. I schedule a professional photographer as I near the end of the drawing. Scheduling in advance ensures that this part of the process will not effect your timeline.

1-Minute Video

Each drawing comes with a one-minute video. This can take a couple of days to put together. I will send the video shortly after you receive your drawing.

Certificate of Authenticity

The drawing will come with a Certificate of Authenticity.

Shipping and Handling

UPS will pack and ship your drawing. I will purchase insurance and choose a method that provides tracking. Shipping and handling is not included in the cost of the drawing or in the estimated timeline.
